Tactical gear like vests and plat carriers aren’t the first things that come to most people’s minds when they’re thinking about getting into the sport. No, everyone thinks about airsoft guns first and foremost. That makes sense, of course, but it doesn’t mean you should ignore the rest of the options available to you. Choosing the proper load out is about more than just what airsoft weapon(s) you bring into battle; it’s also about what you strap onto yourself.
Vests and chest rigs are by no means required in order to play airsoft, but they provide much functionality while out on the battlefield. These are extremely useful optional accessories that can be used to carry around your gear. For the most part, they come in the following colors/patterns: black, tan, OD, ACU, and multi-cam. MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) help players carry a plethora of useful stuff by attaching modules to the vests with MOLLE straps.
You don’t want to get caught out there without enough magazines, grenades, attachments, water, etc. and these rigs are a great way to let you bring all of that stuff into a skirmish. And compared to the alternative – jamming all of your stuff into your pockets – this is clearly the way to go.
In addition to vests and rigs, GF Airsoft also stocks plat carriers. We all know that the soft in airsoft is a bit of a misnomer. The plastic pellets that are fired off by airsoft weapons can actually be quite painful when they hit you. Protect yourself out there by picking up a plate carrier. Remember that plate carriers do not come with the actual plates, though; those you have to source on your own. Most of the carriers here at Godfather were designed with help from the professionals who wear the real deal in the line of duty, so you know they’ll get the job done.
