Grenades: you love ‘em, we’ve got ‘em. Who doesn’t love a good explosion, am I right? If things are getting a bit too hectic, the enemy has been foolish enough to clump together or you just need to clear out a fox hole, chucking a ‘nade or two into the fray will no doubt get the job done. In airsoft, you don’t necessarily have to throw grenades, however. If the manual art of tossing an explosive in that perfect arc doesn’t appeal to you, perhaps a grenade launcher for firing them off as projectiles will be more your style. Yeah, now we’re talking.
Grenade launchers can be purchased both as attachment barrels for the underside of an airsoft gun or as standalone launchers. You’ll find several launchers at GodfatherAirsoft.com that have revolvers that cycle through six grenade rounds. These airsoft weapons are excellent choices for support class style combatants. Although a grenade launcher may not sound like “support,” keep in mind that they are best used for driving back the other team and allowing your buddies to advance on a desirable position or objective.
Godfather also carries some more tactical explosives, in addition to straight-up fragmentation grenades. If the other team seems to be in control of the battlefield, or they have you outnumbered in an encounter, you might want to try a little subterfuge. Dropping a flashbang into the mix can even up the odds by disorienting other players; you can probably guess why. And if you’re more about sniping then running and gunning, planting a claymore mine to protect your rear or flank is a great strategy. Claymores can detonate and wipe out unsuspecting aggressors by either tripwire or the press of a remote button. Whatever it is that you’ve got in mind, GF’s grenade inventory can definitely help bring your airsoft game to the next level.
